Industrial drone operation qualification

Target applicants

Who uses (or plans to use) drone in business. This course takes 4 days, unlike drone operation qualification course.

Course curriculum

Schedule Content
First day

(classroom learning)
(1) Drone flight regulations
(2) Flight safety
① Flight rules (forbidden flight areas and flight method)
② Weather
③ Unmanned aircraft safety functions (fail-safe function etc.)
④ Daily inspection parts according to operation manual
⑤ Automatic control system mechanism and daily inspection parts according to operation manual (only when such system is equipped)⑥ System necessary for unmanned aircraft flight safety
⑦ Additional basics depending on flight directions
Second day 5 hours
(practical)
(3) Pre-flight check
① Surroundings safety (third person, and weather conditions such as wind speed and direction)
② Fuel and battery level
③ Communication and propulsion system
④ Drone and transmitter(4) Basics (using GPS then without GPS)
① Takeoff and landing
Takeoff from a position 3 m far from the operator and flying up 3 m then landing within the specified range
② Hovering
Be able to hover 30 seconds at eye-level altitude within the specified range (radius 1 m)
③ Flying forward/back, left/right
Fly to the forward and back landing points 20 m far from the specified takeoff point and be able to make a stable landing for 5 times continuously
④ Flying horizontally
Be able to fly stably to the specified points at the same altitude for 5 times continuously
Third day 5 hours
(practical)
(5) The ability to control drone according to flight directions
① Flying drone front facing the operator
Be able to fly forward/back, left/right, and horizontally
② Flight combination
Be able to fly stably up/down and horizontally at a distance of 10 m from the operator for 5 times continuously
③ “figure 8” pattern flight
Be able to fly stably drawing 8 for 5 times continuously
Fourth day 4~5 hours

④ Night/ BVLOS flight
(Night)
Be able to fly unmanned airplane according to the intended flight route
(BVLOS)
The ability to, fly drone according to the intended flight route using remote control while watching the monitor(6) Automatic flight
① Setting automatic flight route
The ability to set flight route properly using automatic control system
② Changing to manual control
The ability to land drone safely using manual control in case an error occurred during automatic flight
