Training alliance authorized by MLIT (December 1, 2020)

The conclusion that drone practical training is indispensable.

Until now, we have been doing drone aerial photography and infrastructure inspection businesses under the name of SORA.blue, as well as making use of this knowledge and know‐how in operating drone school. Unlike others, in our drone school, we always focus on teaching actual flight risks and risk management rather than usual flight technics or business, aiming at practical courses that include airline know‐how as well.

Unfortunately, injuries due to drone accidents do not stop as everything flies has the risk of crashing down, and hitting propeller rotates at high speed causes serious injury. That is why it is necessary to understand all risks well and learn how to prevent such accidents/injuries.

Although drone service expanded to this extend, at this rate drone which is regarded as the sky industrial revolution may stop developing then just disappear due to the fear. That is why we created this alliance (authorized by MLIT on December 1, 2020 ) after deciding that teaching flight safety is necessary.

Two reasons why industrial drone does not develop in Japan

DOSA thinks of two reasons why the drone industry is not developing in Japan even less than the research company announced in its expectancy.

(1)The gap between consumer and industrial drone

Consumer drone such as DJI is well made and anyone can fly it just with good training. On the other hand, the size of industrial drone differs, and it is still difficult to fly it stably. Many functions are assigned for the industrial controllers, and most flight control applications can be used on PCs rather than smartphones or tablets. Above that industrial drone is very expensive that currently there is almost no one feels he wants to fly it. Therefore, it is necessary to make it easy for service companies to use drone to carry on business efficiently.

(2)The gap between demonstration experiments and social implementation

Recently demonstration experiments targeting social implementation finally started, although drone is still in experiment phase. However, there is still a big gap between these demonstration experiments and social implementation. The current experiments are mainly carried out by drone makers and service providers experienced pilots who do not know the know-how necessary for operation, unlike who uses drone in operation phase. Therefore, action must be taken to fill this gap.

That is why DOSA created by DAIYASERVICE, Inc. which has carried out many demonstration experiments and flights, can hold up the mission to fill these two gaps.

DOSA meaning

DOSA refers to the official name of Drone Operation Service Alliance. Our aim as an experienced drone operation service provider is to increase end user’s flight safety and security. We also planning to cooperate with other drone service providers as alliance partners since the promoter DAIYASERVICE, Inc. cannot cover all over the country alone.
